Timeghoul - 1992-1994 Discography
Timeghoul was a death metal band from Missouri that redefined extreme metal for good. Though while they were together they never received the recognition they deserved (as it often goes), in recent years thanks to the internet their music has resurfaced, out of obscurity.
They were very much ahead of their time, pioneering an atmospheric and "cerebral" brand of death metal, steeped with musicality, narrative, and experimentation in an era of generally simplistic and gore-obsessed death metal. Not that that stuff is bad or anything, but just saying. Without them, modern death metal bands like Blood Incantation and Chthe'ilist would surely not exist.
